NCM is an advocacy organization for seniors and the issues facing them. Canada’s population is aging and number of seniors as % of the population is steadily increasing. Many seniors, who are immigrants or South Asians, lack education and English language skills. They are financially dependent on government aid (OAS) and/or on their children. Seniors often feel lonely, isolated, and marginalized. Elder abuse is becoming a common phenomenon. They also face problems with housing and healthcare. Many a times, they are not aware of their rights and are afraid to go to authorities.
NCM is committed to improving the quality of life of seniors in Canada. It would like to be their voice and take up their causes and issues with government at all levels.
