Youths are Canada’s future. Canada’s economic prosperity depends upon having educated and civic-minded youths. Children of immigrant and poor families are often disadvantaged and do not fare well in school and later in their adult life. Youth crime is an issue. Cities and urban areas lack recreational and sport facilities for youths to keep them engaged, and programs to mentor and guide them. Aboriginal youths perhaps are at even at higher risks.
NCM would like to champion the cause of youth development. NCM’s objective is to work with Government, Youth Organizations and Educational Institutions to help them develop programs so that youths can stay in schools and stay out of trouble. NCM also believes in instilling leadership skills in youths.
